| Location and History Catherine McMurchy, librarian from June 15th 1923 to Feb 9th 1939 when she left due to health reasons. She apparently died in 1956 and her ghost could be seen or heard walking in the basement of this 1910 Carnegie library before the library moved to modern quarters in 2003. Catherine McMurchy also had two sisters who worked at the library, one of whom was named Anna. The McMurchy sisters lived in Cedar St, Snohomish. We did find mention of the basement of the library being used as a TB ward during the 1940's. |
